LGBTea Parties are bi-weekly group discussions about current events and LGBTQ topics lead by Rainbow Resource Center staff members. It’s a time to party, to relax, and to let. Now, of course, in the midst of all of the deeper causes and meanings behind pride, it is also, most importantly, a time of celebration. Please note that the RRC will be closed during this time to ensure the privacy of support group conversations. Pride is a time where we step out of the shadows and declare that we will no longer forced to suppress our truest selves because of heterosexual fragility and fear. Support group meets weekly at 3:00 on Thursdays in the RRC. Does your campus actively recruit faculty for their LGBT-related academic scholarship Does your campus have any specific academically focused LGBTQ student. In partnership with the UMaine Counseling Center, we’re proud to offer a space for LGBTQ+ folks to come together and share their feelings in a safe, affirming environment. Rainbow Resource Center Weekly/Bi-Weekly Programs LGBTQ+ Support Group Well be sharing lots of specials and events throughout the month. The event includes a marketplace with more than 50 gay, lesbian, and transgender-friendly businesses, so you can shop til you drop.
